Last Wednesday I had the chance to join the local AI chapter in Frankfurt #AIFFM for the first time. It was a special event as they celebrated their 1 year anniversary – congratulations!
In preparation of the event I tried to learn more about AI as this is one of the most hot topics and technology trends since mobile. One talk about AI really raised my attention as I’m following Andrew Ng a longer time now which I’d like to share here:

I really enjoyed all three talks and the short breaks for food and drinks.
- Human Science meet Data Science: Applied AI
- High Efficiency Cancer Prevention by Deep learning on the Blockchain
- AI-based conversational interfaces for human
Networking at #aiffm
The networking part is always one of my favorites, but was very interesting this time. I had the chance to talk to Stefan who gave me some great insights about their founding and work at VsionAi and Michael Krech. I had a look before at TensorFlow, but after this I was hit by a bus.
Nevertheless, really unique at this event were the 20 second pitches for open positions. For example DB AI ventures @assistify_db and @VsionAi are looking for new talent to join their team.
The event was sponsored by Cognizant for drinks and food, DBSystel and DB Skydeck for opening their unique location. Many thanks to Marten Graebner for the moderation and organisation of #aiffm.
Upcoming #aiffm event
