Something kind and beautiful happened to us during our vacation. We were traveling by train and had different seats reserved. It was our first time using the Spanish train service, and I wasn’t familiar with how to make seat reservations on the payment machine.
Just before the journey began, a woman came by claiming her seat. We moved to another nearby seat that was free. After a few minutes, she inquired about our tickets and seat reservations and noticed that only the seat next to her was reserved for us. She checked the other free seat and generously offered us hers while moving to the other one, as she was traveling alone.
I was struck by this woman’s kindness, openness, and helpfulness – and it wasn’t the first time we’d experienced such goodwill during our vacation. To me, this act perfectly embodies my understanding of a human role model – this is the way it should be and I’d like to master my life!
I observed several positive things over the past few days and want to remind myself about some again:
- Be kind. Be open and curious. Kindly ask for help when you need it.
- Help others when you recognize you’re able to. Just do it!
- Letting go is always good to create space and allow things to happen.
- Reading takes time but offers tremendous value back.
- Enjoy every moment in life. Be, do and live your life – try to make the best out of every moment. Life rewards action.
